Thiago Messi and Benjamín Suárez, sons of Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, won the Easter International Cup by Rayados with Inter Miami’s under-12 team.
The youth competition was organized by Mexican club Monterrey at the end of the week in Kissimmee, Florida, with in excess of 300 teams, including 30 international clubs competing.
Thiago, 11, who was in a No. 10 shirt, scored a goal during their 4-0 win against Florida Kraze in the Final to assist his team with winning the Cup. He received his winners’ medal alongside his teammates, including Benjamín, 10.
The pair are en route to rise to their dads’ adventures, who won a Champions League title and four LaLiga titles among a host of other trophies while starring together at Barcelona. They were reunited in Miami when Suarez joined Inter Miami in December 2023.
Benjamin and Thiago will be giving a shout out to Inter Miami in Thursday’s CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinal first leg against Liga MX side Monterrey.
Messi, who has been down and out with a hamstring injury for over fourteen days, could return despite the fact that his status remains indistinct.
