This December, Rema Won’t Be Performing. This Is His Reason

Nigerian music sensation Rema has canceled all his December shows to deal with his health which he has “overlooked” because of his endless shows lately.

The Afrobeats icon disclosed in a post on his Instagram story that his health has largely been neglected. Rema stressed the necessity of taking a break and concentrating on healing in light of scheduled performances in Nigeria and South Africa.

“Breaks my heart to say that I won’t be performing anywhere this December. Been years of touring I’ve ignored my health and I need time to recuperate. 2024 we go again love,” he said.

The Nigerian star has had a lot of success with music this year, with his song “Calm Down,” which he sings with Selena Gomez and is almost everywhere, breaking a lot of streaming and chart records.

The song has arisen as the most shazammed of 2023 globally and was last week awarded the best Afrobeats tune at the Billboard Music Awards.

Prior in the month, he delivered an outstanding performance at the Ballon D’Or awards, days after ‘Calm Down’ made history by becoming the longest-charting and most successful African song of all time on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
