As indicated by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ completed 2023 with an all out gross of ₦854.3 million, the most noteworthy earning Nollywood film for 2023 and the highest ever.

Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is the producer behind Nollywood’s second highest earning film ever, ‘Fight on Buka Road’ grossed₦668 million, while the third most noteworthy netting film ever, ‘Omo Ghetto: The Adventure’ had₦636 million.

Moses Babatope, the Group Deputy Managing Director of FilmHouse Group, said the new achievement demonstrates Nigerian film is in its excellent shape.

The fact that Funke Akindele’s ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ reached the one billion naira mark is evidence that Nigeria’s local content continues to thrive and engage audiences despite fierce competition from international streaming platforms.
