This Is What You Missed At The Exciting ‘DKY Night Of Comedy & Music’ Show

On Friday August 23, the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) was completely filled with heaps of people including legislators, administrators, performers, media personalities and numerous others.

Their central goal was only one — to be a part of Dan Kwaku Yeboah’s ‘DKY Night Of Comedy and Music’. As a matter of fact, each and everybody was there to dial down a few pressure off their heads after a lot of working time.

At exactly 8:00PM on the evening, the show which was put together by Image Bureau and Dan Kwaku Yeboah Media Foundation began right away as promised patrons.

This was Dan Kwaku Yeboah’s first comedy show since he started doing pieces of it on radio each day throughout the long term. The seasoned media personality who is more accomplished in Sports has been doing this on his morning sports show with the Indefatigable Kwame Sefa Kayi.

Top dignitaries including: Ex-President Kuffour, Second Lady Samira Bawumia, Former Black Stars Skipper Asamoah Gyan, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Dampare, some traditional leaders, CEOs of big companies, and a number of other dignitaries stormed the show. And indeed, they enjoyed themselves.

The night also saw the appearance of a number of notable Ghanaian celebrities in addition to the aforementioned.

The ‘DKY Night of Comedy and Music’ was Dan Kwaku Yeboah’s official introduction into the parody world as a veteran sportscaster cum comedian.

With the support of his colleagues, including Funny Face, Akrobeto, Foster Romanus, OB Amponsah, Clemento Suarez, and Lekzy DeComic—who later joined even though he was not on the bill—Dan was able to live up to expectations in an extraordinary fashion.

Each of these comedians did an amazing job by cracking the ribs of the audience in the Auditorium. They were extremely fantastic on their feets with some surprises who also set up a real execution.

The music stars who were lined-up for the show additionally added a phenomenal ‘flavor’ to the event. Not surprisingly, Legendary Amakye Dede, was large and in charge, while Fameye also gave an extraordinary display with no hitch.

With respect to Okyeame Kwame, the least said the better. The rapper was remarkable with his stage craft as he perfectly delivered to the delight of all guests present, especially with his Chinese aerobatic exhibition talent in front of the audience.

‘The New False’ Comedy Special Is Finally Here!

Interestingly, Samini was a surprise artiste on the show, thus when he showed up onstage, it was all fun. He shocked everybody, and set forth one of his best performances ever with some of his tracks.

Preceding Samini’s entrance, the band performed some of his melodies paving the way for the legendary Reggae Dancehall artiste, but the crowd least expected he will show up. And so his entrance was somehow a shock. He did, however, give a positive account of himself.

Despite a few issues, the show was excellent overall. The best part of the entire show was the sound. Everything could be heard clearly without a single hitch; thanks to its exceptional quality.

After restless evenings by the organizers, they can now hurl a sigh of relief after a successful show. Tickets were sold out.
