To Help Promote The New Media, Shatta Wale Is Embarking On A Media Tour

Shatta Wale

Regardless of how some Ghanaians see it, Reggae-dancehall artist Shatta Wale is about to go on a limited media tour to raise awareness of the value of content creation.

Shatta claims that a number of Ghanaians and even the government are still unaware of the scope of content production. He said, they overlook the time, money, crew, and other resources that go into creating a single piece of content that aims to inform and amuse internet users.

As a result, Shatta Wale has dubbed it ‘New Generation, New Media’ and is embarking on a tour to support content creators. He vented his displeasure on X:

NEW GENERATION, NEW MEDIA!!

“I don’t think the creative arts industry in Ghana and even Ghana and Ghana government truly understands who content creators are.

These individuals have chosen this path—sacrificing their time, investing in equipment, building teams, and creating platforms from scratch. It’s not just a hustle; it’s a serious business.

We need to understand that entertainment and content creation go hand in hand, and with the right support, these platforms can grow and contribute massively to the industry.

Please don’t say they’re ‘making money from YouTube’ like it’s some overnight success. The education and discipline required to build on YouTube is far deeper than what you’ve been told. It’s not easy, my guy.

That’s why I’m starting interviews with these creators—#Headless, #Savageroom, #Codemicky, #SammyFlexTV, #ZionFelix, and many others—not because of what I’ll gain, but because I believe in helping those who are building something real for Ghana.

Let’s grow together.”
