In an effort to increase tourism and facilitate travel for tourists during the holiday season, Ghana has announced a new visa policy.
Travelers will have a smooth Visa-on-arrival process but will not require pre-approval to enter Ghana between December 1, 2024, and January 15, 2025.
The tourism authority’s action is a component of the “December in GH” campaign, which is a subset of the “Beyond the Return” initiative, which aims to position Ghana as a leading destination for heritage and culture tourism.
The goal of the policy is to attract more tourists to Ghana so they can enjoy its lively December celebrations, rich cultural legacy, and exciting events.
Akwasi Agyeman, CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, revealed that this is revolutionary for tourists hoping to experience Ghanaian culture during this joyous time of year.
Additionally, Ghanaian airlines have been instructed by the Ministry of Transportation to update their systems as soon as possible to comply with the new policy.
This year’s ‘December In GH’ this year will be filled with vibrant festivals, performances, and cultural events.
Travelers are therefore encouraged to utilize this complimentary admission to experience all that Ghana has to offer.
