Former U.S President Donald Trump has revealed that he will unlikely run for president again in 2028 if he falls short in his bid to return to the White House in 2024.
When journalist Sharyl Attkisson recently asked about his stance on contesting in 2028, he stated,
“No, I don’t. I think that will be, that will be it”
Trump rarely acknowledges the possibility that he could legitimately lose an election. He appeared to rule out a fourth bid for the White House.
Trump typically maintains that would only be the case if widespread cheating happened, a false claim he made in 2020 and will preemptively repeat in his 2024 campaign.
In the year 2028, Trump would be 82, one year older than President Joe Biden.
After being criticized for months by Trump and other conservatives as being too old and erratic for the job, current President Joe Biden dropped out of the race in July of this year.
Having said that, Trump also defended his record regarding the coronavirus pandemic during his interview with Attkisson.
During his presidency, he claimed credit for the creation of the COVID-19 vaccines.

The comment about 2028 was made near the end of the interview, which also included a question about how Trump maintains his health.
The former president said,
“I try and eat properly,” the former president said, drawing an incredulous reaction from Attkisson, who noted that Trump has become infamous for his fondness for hamburgers. Proper hamburgers,” Trump said.
