UCL: Hansi Flick Says He Is Happy With His Team

Coach Hansi Flick of Barcelona FC stated following the team’s most recent Champions League game that he is happy with the team’s performance so far.

The German coach stated that he is happy to have secured second place and that he has no preferences for possible opponents in the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen.

Hansi Flick was happy enough to end the Champions League league phase with a draw and second place out of 36 teams, and isn’t too concerned which club FC Barcelona get to play next because “there are no easy opponents.”

Speaking after the final whistle, he said:

“I’m satisfied with the result. We played well against a good team with a great playing philosophy … I am happy for the team, for the fans and for the club.”

“Whatever happens, we’ll have to wait until Friday to what happens.” He added there are some surprise teams that have failed to qualify among the top eight teams, so that makes this Champions League even more difficult because some of the lower seeded teams are actually extremely strong.

“Hard work is more important than potential opponents” he added. Whatever happens, Barça now have an extra two weeks to prepare.
