NFA’s Massive Support To These Film Projects
The program will visit DC, Atlanta, and Los Angeles to meet with experts in the creative industry, particularly in the fields of film and music, and it will concentrate solely on copyright law and its application.
The Department of State has illustrated the accompanying explicit targets for the project:
• Exchange best practices with U.S. policymakers, at the state and local levels, to improve the operating environment, drive employment growth, and attract global investment into their local creative markets.
• Examine the creative industries’ infrastructure and business ecosystem; with input from IP experts, film and recording studios, industry associations, and other thought leaders.
• Gain exposure to key business tools used by members of the creative economy to scale work globally.
Meanwhile, Kofi Asamoah, who is also CEO of Kofas Media, describes the opportunity as ‘golden’.
He thanked the US Department of State and the US Embassy in Accra for recognizing the necessity of influencing the local creative ecosystem in a Facebook post.
