There Was Nothing Venus Williams Could Do After The Winds Contributed To Her Defeat
Numerous fans were anticipating that Venus Williams should have dominated the match between her and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova on Monday May 17, but that didn’t happen.
She was crushed by Anna Karolina, after she was given a period infringement while hoping that substantial winds will fade away prior to serving.
Venus Williams reprimanded the winds for her loss. She said:
“If the wind blows, then I can’t hit the ball,” she told the umpire. “I can’t control God, I can’t control the wind. I’m just saying that if the wind blows, there is nothing I can do about that. I can’t control God, talk to him,” she added, pointing to the sky.
