In a recent interview with ChannelOne television, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe expressed confidence in the team’s true capacity for development, stressing on their recent success in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as a positive sign.

He said the last two AFCONs didn’t live up to expectations, but a good World Cup performance in 2022 gives them hope for better results, especially when compared to Ghana’s performance at the last AFCON.
