Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Barcelona who broke through the 100-goal mark in the Champions League, praised his team’s victory over Brest but demands more from them considering the caliber of play they are capable of.
Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona, who scored his 100th goal in the Champions League on Tuesday during his team’s 2-0 victory over Brest, acknowledged that he never would have thought he would score this many goals in the top European league a few years ago.
Lewandowski, who became the third player to reach this number after Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Leo Messi of Argentina, expressed his happiness at the accomplishment.
The striker stated that they needed to play very well from the beginning, be patient, and find the goal against the Breton team, which Barca won two goals against.
“The most important thing is to try to win every game. Until the end of the year we have to win every game and rest at Christmas,” Lewandowski said.
With seven goals in five games this season, the Barça striker is currently leading the Champions League in scoring.
