John Mahama, the president-elect of Ghana, has begun traveling to the neighboring countries as he gets ready for his inauguration on January 7, 2025.
John Mahama restated the importance of fostering stronger ties within the subregion during a meeting with President Faure Gnassingbé of Togo.
He asserts that people can be impacted by banding together and cooperating.
“Working together, we can better impact the lives of our people, who are connected in many ways, including tribe, history, and economy”, he said.
Having been president from 2012 to 2017, Mahama has a wealth of governance experience. He may be seen by Ghanaians as a leader who can solve the country’s present problems, which include infrastructure deficiencies, unemployment, and economic instability, among many others.
Ghanaians may support President Mahama for a new beginning if he lays out specific, doable plans to control inflation, stabilize the economy, and lower the national debt.
H.E Mahama is often credited with prioritizing infrastructure development, such as roads, schools, and hospitals, during his presidency. Many Ghanaians might believe he will continue such projects and address existing gaps.
One of his focus will also be on youth and job creation. His pledges to prioritize industrialization, entrepreneurship, and skills development could resonate with the youth, who are eager for employment opportunities.
