We Will Print Ghana’s Currency At Home — New Force Leader

Nana Kwame Bediako

New Force leader Nana Kwame Bediako, has revealed a smart course of action towards changing Ghana’s economy if elected President of the country in December 2024.

Popularly known as Cheddar, he recently launched his manifesto, dubbed “12 Pillars For Economic Freedom”, and highlighted the need for self-sufficiency.

“Why do we have to go to England, go to Switzerland, or go to DeLaRue to print our money?”

He scrutinized the rationale of relying upon foreign countries to print Ghana’s currency, stressing the potential for industrialization and economic growth.

“We are going to print money at home,” Cheddar declared, stating his vision for a more independent and self-sufficient economy. He also focused attention on the need to reduce reliance on foreign goods, citing “We don’t need to go anywhere else to go and buy food and bring it here.”

In addition, Cheddar stated that it is wrong to import packaged goods at high prices.

“We don’t need to pay seven times the taxes of whatever that is already in our country and someone has just packaged it.”

“That stops,” Cheddar said, referring to the practice of relying on foreign goods and services. “Because we are going to create it here. Now that we have more reserves and even cash reserves.” He expressed credence in Ghana’s ability to drive its own economic growth and development.
