A few weeks ago, Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay made the announcement of her brand-new official YouTube page and invited her fans to stream her music beginning that day.
This raised the question of whether Wendy was still working with RuffTown Records, the label owned by her manager Bullet and with which she has worked with for more than five years.
Wendy Shay immediately released a new song titled “Who Cares” just when fans were still asking questions, providing clear evidence that she was leaving the label.
The verses to the tune was practically similar to a shade tossed at the label RuffTown Records and its boss, as per netizens. Despite the fact that she had been groomed for several years by label boss Bullet, some fans believed that she was unreceptive to the label. Others, on the other hand, believe that the controversy was just a publicity stunt ahead of a release.
On United Showbiz on June 8, 2024, Bullet clarified all of the controversy that has been trending for some time now. He asserted that Wendy’s departure from the label to pursue her own interests was not a hoax; rather, the entire story was based on fact. She truly left.
Detailing the entire story, Bullet conceded that he was the one to blame, and that Wendy Shay ought not be accused in any capacity. He said, when artists are growing in the space, they should be given that more respect whether or not managers started their grooming or not. He said most managers don’t know this, so they always undervalue artists under their care.

Bullet claimed that he was the one who began the wrong move for his performing artist in this instance. He went on to say that, Wendy Shay is one of the artists with whom he has worked faithfully for over five years. So when Wendy chose to leave, he couldn’t hold his attitude and addressed her wrongly, which prompted her exit.
“I was hurt when she planned to leave to do what she wanted, but I’m to blame. Wendy is my cash cow, and I can’t bear to allow her to leave just like that. She is an amazing artist”, he said.
However, the good news is that, thanks to Kwasi Ernest and Wendy’s mother, they are almost on the verge of bringing her to the label. Bullet said they have sat and settled all issues and will before long start working in the future.
Bullet praised Wendy Shay as one of the best and most devoted artists who has reached an unquestionable level up to this point.
