West Africa Music And Arts Festival Comes To A Successful End

The West Africa Music and Arts Festival began on June 20 and ran until June 24. Several people attended, including Ghanaian celebrities like Reggie Rockstone and Efya.

The Honorable Minister of Tourism, the Arts, and Culture Egyapa Mercer praised the private and public sectors’ cooperation in organizing the West Africa Music and Arts Festival. These remarks were made when he spoke at the West Africa Music and Arts Festival’s opening ceremony.

The Festival was also graced by the First Lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Hajia Samira Bawumia, and united top people in the creative industry to dig into provocative discussions, for example, the legalities encompassing intellectual property in the creative arts space, and how Ghana can benefit from it.

“Music and arts have transformative power. They uplift communities, inspire creativity, and foster unity, Hon. Mercer said. Through festivals like this, we create spaces where artists collaborate, where traditions merge, and where tourists immerse in our vibrant cultures’’, he said.

The Minister also shared how especially cheerful he was, that the occasion was private sector driven, yet the public sector upheld it.

Ghana Shows Strong Recovery In International Tourism

Guests from various creative spaces attended the four-day event to discuss ways to improve Ghana’s creative sector.
