
Caryn Agyeman Prempeh is the daughter of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
She studied biomedical science at the University College of London and then went on to study medicine at the School of Medical Science at the KNUST in Kumasi, Ghana. She is affectionately known as Ohemaa.
Caryn Agyemang Prempeh is one of the renowned daughters of the King of Ashanti, who went to St. Rose’s Senior Secondary School, and proceeded with her Secondary education at St. Rose’s Senior Secondary School, Akwatia and Headington Girls School, Oxford, (United Kingdom).
She also learned at the College School of London, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, School of Medical Science and Queen Mary University of London to study biomedical science, medicine and global public health.
Dr Caryn Agyemang Prempeh is the owner and Founder of the well known Ohemaa Detergents. As someone from a wealthy family, Ohemaa’s position is unique. She chose to become an entrepreneur, regardless of
the family she comes from.
In spite of being a royal from a rich and well known Kingdom, Caryn Agyeman Prempeh has set out all alone to establish organizations and set a particular norm for herself. She has been such a lot engaged with the detergent industry since 2020.
She turned her expertise into an entrepreneurship venture during the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, which resulted in the creation of one of Ghana’s most sought-after detergents.
Today, she owns an extensive variety of sanitiser items comprising of alcohol based sanitiser, fluid and washing soaps, as well as baby cleansers, which are all completely endorsed and confirmed by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
Caryn Agyemang Prempeh is also a doctor in addition to this. She previously held the position of resident medical officer at Claron Health International. She worked at 37 Military and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as well.
She is also the founder of a non-profit organization “CERVIVA,” which aims to educate women about cervical cancer and raise awareness of the disease.

Caryn started Cerviva Ghana in 2011 because she is a woman and understands the effects of cervical cancer, which typically “attacks” women. She established this non profit organization (NGO) to create awareness and educate young girls on the anticipation of cervical disease.
She has since been consistent of this campaign, aside from being the team doctor of the senior female football team of Ghana, Ghana Black.
As part of her numerous business acumen, Caryn Agyemang Prempeh has published numerous articles in prestigious medical journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences. She serves as a mentor to many medical students and residents, passing on her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of healthcare professionals.
