Wheesung Discovered Dead In His Room After Being…

Choi Whee-sung, the South Korean singer popularly known as Wheesung, has passed away. On March 10, 2025, he was discovered dead at the age of 43 in his Seoul apartment.

When his mother called for help, emergency personnel found him unconscious. Even though there were no early indications of foul play, officials have asked for an autopsy because of the length of time that has passed since his death.

After starting his career with the K-pop group A4 in 1999, Wheesung went on to have a successful solo career in 2002 with the release of his debut album, “Like a Movie.” He was well-known for his heartfelt performances and was instrumental in making R&B more widely accepted in the South Korean music industry.

Among the challenges Wheesung encountered was a suspended jail sentence in 2021 for abusing the potent anesthetic propofol.
