Former first lady Melania Trump will release a memoir on September 24, just weeks before voters will choose between her husband Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
In addition, Trump announced the release of his own release, whose cover features the well-known image of him leaving the stage following his attempted assassination.
The memoir will be available in bookstores in September, a few weeks before the November 5 presidential election. The de facto Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, will compete with her husband, former President Donald Trump.
The book, titled “Melania,” is described as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity, and defined personal excellence” in a press release issued on Thursday.
“The former First Lady invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life,” the release says.
Melania Trump, who was born and raised in Slovenia, moved to the United States in 1996 to work as a model. She met Donald Trump in 1998. They were married in 2005 and their child, Barron Trump, was born the following year.
Skyhorse Publishing, the conservative imprint that publishes books by Donald Trump and an independent presidential candidate this year, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., will publish her memoir.
The book is a diligent and historically important record of the turbulent recent past of our country, seen from Melania Trump’s unique vantage point,” Skyhorse President Tony Lyons said.
“It coveys her core beliefs of unity, hope and kindness, and whatever you thought you knew about this intensely private woman, these pages contain something more — and something deeper.”
Melania Trump released her memoir on the same day that Donald Trump released his own book, a strange coincidence. The iconic image of Donald Trump leaving the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 after his attempted assassination will be featured in the coffee table book titled “SAVE AMERICA.”
It was not clear whether the two book announcements on Thursday were planned or just happened at the same time. There was no mention of their spouse’s upcoming books in either of the Trumps’ book releases.
