Why Is The United States Planning To Ban TikTok?

TikTok appears to have been very famous nowadays, and the world has bounced on it, with everybody making the most of its utilization. However, the United States is taking a gander at restricting Chinese social media applications in the country, including TikTok.

This was revealed by the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday 6th July, 2020.

As indicated by him:

“With respect to Chinese apps on people’s cell phones, I can assure you the United States will get this one right too, Laura. I don’t want to get out in front of the President [Donald Trump], but it’s something we’re looking at.”

He further said that people can download the application if they prefer their private data in the possession of the Chinese Communist Party.

Then again, a representative for TikTok isn’t in concurrence with Mr Pompeo.

According to the representative, TikTok is driven by an American CEO, with many workers and key pioneers across safety, security, product, and public policy in the US.

They have no higher need than advancing a protected and secure application experience for their users. As per him, TiToK has never given user information to the Chinese government, nor would they do as such whenever asked to.

Presently, there is such a great amount of tension between the United States and China, which have overflowed into several fields including national security, trade, technology and other businesses.

TikTok, which is owned by Beijing-based startup ByteDance, has been more than once scrutinized by US legislators who blamed the short-structure video application for being a danger to national security in light of its connections to China.

They assert that the organization could be constrained to help out insight work constrained by the Chinese Communist Party.

Meanwhile, TikTok has persistently referenced that, it works independently from ByteDance as its server centres are found outside of China, and that none of that information is dependent upon Chinese law. US client information is put away in the United States, with a reinforcement in Singapore.

TikTok has been downloaded 315 million times in the initial three months of this year by U.S residents, which is to a greater extent historic.
