Two remarkable songs from the globally acclaimed collaborative album ‘BEYOND Music Vol. 4’ have been shortlisted for one of the most meaningful honors in the music industry — the Harry Belafonte Award for Social Change — at the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards. The nominated tracks are “Get Wise” by Wiyaala & Ah Moon, and “Stay Together” by Pheelz featuring Marshall Muze and Naimah.
The first nominee, “Get Wise”, is a bold and stirring anthem by Ghanaian star Wiyaala and Myanmar’s Ah Moon. Written by Ah Moon, Kate Northrop, and BK Duke, the track challenges listeners to think critically about societal norms, injustice, and the power of individual awareness.
Through its fusion of African and Asian rhythms, “Get Wise” serves as a call to consciousness and empowerment — a message that deeply aligns with the legacy of Harry Belafonte, who used music and activism to promote justice and equality worldwide.
The second contender, “Stay Together”, by Nigerian producer and artist Pheelz, featuring Marshall Muze and Naimah, promotes global solidarity and compassion across racial, cultural, and geographic divides. The song blends Afrobeat energy with soulful vocals, creating a universal soundscape that celebrates resilience and togetherness in challenging times.
The Harry Belafonte Award for Social Change, introduced by the Recording Academy to recognize music that inspires social awareness and transformation, honors the lifelong humanitarian and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte (1927–2023). The award highlights artists and works that use the power of music to confront injustice, promote peace, and amplify marginalized voices.
The nomination of BEYOND Music artists underscores how contemporary musicians continue to embrace Belafonte’s vision — using creativity as a force for good in a divided world.
Founded by Regula Curti, BEYOND Music is an international artist collective that brings together musicians from all over the world to collaborate on original compositions promoting social harmony, understanding, and healing through art. The Vol. 4 album, produced under the theme of “Songs for Social Change,” features over 100 artists from multiple countries and genres, uniting their voices around shared human values.
Previous editions of BEYOND Music have featured collaborations with global icons and garnered praise for their cross-cultural creativity and purpose-driven messages.
The nominations of “Get Wise” and “Stay Together” symbolize a new chapter in global music — one where artists transcend borders to deliver messages of compassion, equality, and awareness.
If either of these songs wins, it would mark a significant milestone not only for the artists involved but also for BEYOND Music’s growing reputation as a platform for creative activism on a global scale.
The 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards are expected to take place in early 2026, celebrating the best in music across genres — and this year’s spotlight on social change reaffirms that music remains one of humanity’s most powerful tools for transformation.
