
World Football Governing body, FIFA has dismissed the protest by South Africa that required the replay for the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Ghana in November 2021 in Cape Coast.
The Black Stars of Ghana beat the South Africans by a lone goal, with a penalty goal coming from the skipper of Ghana Andre Ayew.
A decision signef by Carlos Sneider, Director of the FIFA legal Bodies demonstrates that the protest stopped is ‘unacceptable’ as it didn’t meet the essential requirements for filing protest.

As per the ruling, the Black Stars is still equipped for the playoff phase of Africa’s 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers. Subsequently, Bafana of South Africa gets no opportunity of advancing to the next stage.
