Jamaican running star Yohan Blake says he would prefer to miss this year’s Summer’s Olympic Games, which is probably going to be his last, than take any COVID-19 antibodies.
Blake made this expression after competing at the JAAA Qualification Meet at the National Stadium of Jamaica on Saturday 27th March, where he placed third in his 200m warmth.
As indicated by Blake, he immovably remains by his remarks. He said:
“My mind still stays strong, I don’t want any vaccine, I rather to miss the Olympics than take the vaccine, I am not taking it. I don’t really want to get into it now, but I have my reasons”.
Yohan Blake, remains the second fastest man in history in the 100m and 200m with times of 9.69 seconds and 19.26 seconds individually.
He was the 2011 title holder in the 100m and twofold run silver award winner from the 2012 London Olympic Games. He is however hoping to contest in international games in May this year.
On the flip side, Jamaica will get the first shipment of COVID-19 antibodies one week from now to help hinder the pandemic-Covid.
