Google is changing the “Likes” and “Views” counters on YouTube so that they will refresh automatically when a video is viewed. As a result, YouTube will now show you the number of “Views” and “Likes” automatically. if you’re watching a video on the platform, the number of likes and views won’t change while you are viewing the clip.
However, as a result of this update, these two metrics will rise and display an animation of a rolling numbers counter regardless of whether the video is playing or has been paused. Additionally, the animation will continue to play even if you return to YouTube from another app.
A few viewers who were watching videos, continued to get diverted by a movement where the view counter continued to turn over to another number as though it were an actual snap counter. This is a justification of the new changes made by YouTube.
Red boxes show the number of ‘Views and Likes’ of videos moving higher in real time.
YouTube Is Introducing New Handles For Its Members
Meanwhile, some people on YouTube saw the progressions with the features seeming to be that of Reddit. As indicated by them, the first time they saw the new update was the point at which they saw a movement at the bottom left of the video with a new counter animation.
In any case, it looks like this feature is being tested with the help of a very limited number of YouTube users globally. Those who see the feature will notice the number of views and the number of likes rolling up on the screen to a higher number while they are viewing the video.
