Wendy Shay’s annual Shay Concert 2025, held at the West Hills Mall in Weija, Accra, drew thousands of fans on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The free end-of-year event wrapped up successfully late into the night, delivering an energetic close to the 2025 entertainment calendar.
Sponsored by Hisense Ghana and The Luckiest Africa, the concert featured a star-packed roster of Ghanaian Afrobeats and dancehall artistes, electrifying performances, and a vibrant community atmosphere inspired by Wendy Shay’s latest album, Ready.
The show kicked off at 7 PM with lively opening acts before escalating into explosive main performances. The night’s biggest moment came with a surprise appearance by Shatta Wale, the self-styled African Dancehall King, whose dramatic entrance and high-voltage set sent the crowd into a frenzy. His appearance sparked a massive surge that resulted in minor incidents, including a few phone thefts, but no major disruptions.
Medikal also captivated the crowd when he brought his daughter, Island, onstage for adorable dance moments. Fameye’s unexpected entrance drew deafening applause, while other standout performances came from Larruso, KiDi, Kelvyn Boy, Olivetheboy, Amerado, Mr Drew, Eno Barony, Quamina MP, Kofi Mole, Lasmid, Bosoma, Zidor, and Showboy—who added comic relief by scolding his DJ over a track mix-up. Sista Afia also passed through to show support, contributing to the night’s strong collaborative spirit.
As the host and headliner, Wendy owned the stage with hits after hits including ‘Ready’, blending Afrobeats rhythms that got the mall vibrating. Fans noted her command of the crowd, with one attendee calling the energy “mad” and praising how Stonebwoy tracks (possibly covers or tributes) amplified the fun.
The free entry packed West Hills Mall, with Medikal’s fans alone “taking over.” Viral clips captured non-stop dancing, emotional fan interactions, and a sense of unity—echoing Wendy’s pre-event philanthropy, like gifting GH¢25,000 and phones to 50 Kasoa traders.

Shatta Wale’s arrival caused a stampede-like rush, resulting in at least one viral incident where a woman cried after her brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max (bought the day before) was stolen. Security was ramped up post-incident, and the energy redirected into safer dance zones without halting the show.
Unlike Wendy Shay’s first Shay Concert years ago (which she recently revealed flopped due to mismanagement), this edition’s professional setup—top-tier sound and lighting—avoided repeats.
Thousands of fans attended, with praise for the “pure fun” and “electrifying” vibes, with the event reinforcing her community ties. Fans were left with a pleasing spectacle.
The concert ended triumphantly around midnight, leaving fans buzzing about another successful edition of the Shay Concert.
Overall, Shay Concert 2025 was a resounding win, cementing Wendy Shay’s status as a Ghanaian music force.
