Daddy Lumba, One of Ghana’s Greatest Musicians, Has Died

Daddy Lumba (Charles Kwadwo Fosu), one of Ghana’s most well-known musicians, has passed away on the morning of July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Accra after a brief illness. His death was confirmed by DL FM’s official statement. He was 60.

He produced 33 albums before his demise.

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, there were conflicting reports that he had passed away. This is not the first time such rumors have surfaced, as similar false claims about his death emerged in 2015 and 2020, which Daddy Lumba personally refuted.
