During a courtesy call on Hon. Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo (MP), Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, His Excellency Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Marzooqi, Chairman of AI Marzooqi groups in the United Arab Emirates, emphasized his strong interest in hiring Ghanaian youth to address the Gulf country’s severe labor shortage.

Creating a formal bilateral system for labor movement between the two sovereign countries was the main goal of the summit. H.E. Al Marzooqi underlined that the two countries’ distinct demographic differences offer a pipeline of employment that benefits both parties.

“My country, like many in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, is undergoing a demographic transition characterized by an ageing population. This naturally creates significant demand for youthful, dynamic, and adaptable talent across various sectors, from technology and infrastructure to healthcare and services. Ghana, with its impressive youth bulge and highly energetic workforce, is perfectly positioned to meet this demand.”H.E. Al Marzooqi stated during the meeting.

Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo welcomed the initiative and noted the government’s full support in partnering the UAE for the youth to get employed.

“We are committed to this partnership, which offers a structured and safe pathway for our youthful workforce to access decent employment opportunities abroad,” the Minister stated.”
