
Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) Ghana will commemorate 60 years of devoted service to the country’s financial and agricultural industries.
ADB’s managing director, Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong, led a delegation to meet with Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin in advance of this momentous occasion.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss possible collaborations and officially notify the Speaker about the impending anniversary celebrations.
Speaker Bagbin urged ADB to pursue reforms that improve service delivery and competition in the banking industry at the meeting, and he praised the bank for its ongoing dedication to Ghana’s agricultural growth.
Since its founding in 1965, ADB has played a significant role in supporting Ghana’s farmers, agribusinesses, and rural businesses financially and technically. Over the years, the bank has developed, adding corporate and commercial banking to its list of offerings. Today, it has 85 offices nationwide.

The bank’s leadership has stated plans to interact with important stakeholders and legislators to mark the milestone, even if specifics regarding the 60th anniversary celebrations have not been made public.
