In order to better align their activities with the ideals of global sustainability, Bolt signed the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) this year, further solidifying their commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
With more than 8,000 signatories and stakeholders from more than 135 countries, the UNGC is the biggest voluntary corporate sustainability program in the world.
It is an appeal to businesses all around the globe to take action in support of more general UN objectives and to align their operations and strategy with ten universal principles in the fields of labor, the environment, human rights, and anti-corruption.
The management of the online car-sharing company has publicly pledged to support this UN Global Compact effort. Their yearly renewal of this commitment demonstrates their continued commitment to ethical business practices.
A Double Materiality Assessment was carried out in 2024, assessing sustainability risks and possibilities on both a financial and non-financial level.
In keeping with the 10 principles of the UNGC, it addressed important environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues such as labor, human rights, the environment, and anti-corruption.
Sustainability is integrated into Bolt’s core business strategy, and they define goals, policies, and metrics that reflect the company’s operating context. Their Sustainability Strategy is reviewed annually to ensure alignment with the UNGC’s principles and global best practices.
