From Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 27, 2025, a three-day AI Bootcamp was conducted. The program’s goal was to give ministers of state and other important government representatives the skills and information they need to use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the delivery of public services.
Under the direction of Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, and with assistance from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the bootcamp aimed to match AI applications with national development priorities in every Ministry.
Through the AI Bootcamp, Ministries were able to create useful AI solutions specific to their industries, which will be incorporated into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for increased impact and accountability.

The effort, which had the full support of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, was a major step in integrating AI into administration and revolutionizing Ghana’s public sector operations.
Participating Ministries created implementable AI use cases and roadmaps for their respective sectors by the end of the three-day program. To guarantee a successful launch and further advancement, they will be overseen by the Ministry of Communication and monitored with technical assistance from the UNDP.
