Akosua Arhin has been crowned Miss Malaika Ghana 2025, bringing a remarkable close to this year’s edition of the prestigious beauty and leadership pageant. The 23-year-old nurse and University of Ghana student claimed the coveted title during the grand finale held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the National Theatre in Accra.
The event, themed “Defining the Future,” delivered a vibrant blend of Ghanaian culture, intellectual engagement, and high fashion, attracting a sold-out audience.
Akosua distinguished herself during the final Q&A session with a compelling and articulate presentation of her vision for the Miss Malaika brand. She outlined plans to help curb youth unemployment in Ghana, referencing Ghana Statistical Service data that places the national rate at 13.4%—and over 25% among urban youth aged 15–35.
Her proposed “4E Initiative: Empowering Youth Through Enterprise and Education” emphasized practical, scalable solutions that impressed both judges and attendees with their depth and clarity.
As part of her prize package, Akosua received a brand-new 2025 KIA Pegas, a cash award exceeding GHS 20,000, and a full postgraduate scholarship—benefits expected to support her nationwide engagements and project implementation throughout her reign.
She succeeds Miss Sika Osei, the 2024 queen. Sharon was named 1st Runner-Up, while Joyce took the position of 2nd Runner-Up.
Akosua emerged from a pool of 20 finalists unveiled in late September 2025, a diverse group representing fields such as nursing, entrepreneurship, modeling, and education. Her rise through the competition highlighted Miss Malaika’s two-decade mission of shaping young Ghanaian women into leaders in media, business, and public service. As a nurse, she steps into the role with a blend of compassion, discipline, and ambition.
Her victory firmly positions her as an emerging advocate for youth development and empowerment across Ghana.
