Bibiani Gold Stars Begin Its First CAF Champions League Game Against Kabylie
In the first preliminary round of the 2025–26 CAF Champions League qualifying round, Ghana’s Bibiani Gold Stars are paired with Algerian powerhouses JS Kabylie.
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Bibiani Gold Stars will host the First Leg in Ghana.
One week after the Ghana derby, the second leg will take place in Algeria.
The Bibiani Gold Stars are participating in the CAF Champions League for the first time. They qualified after taking home the first-ever Ghana Premier League title in 2024–25.
The Ghanaian team will need to be more aggressive and tactical going into this match because JS Kabylie has greater experience in continental tournaments.
The winner of the two legs advances to the second preliminary round, where they will play either US Monastir (Tunisia) or East End Lions (Sierra Leone).
