Professional Footballers Association Of Ghana Commemorates Junior Agogo’s Death Anniversary

To commemorate the sixth anniversary of the late Black Stars attacker Manuel Junior Agogo’s death, the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has paid a moving homage to him.

As they continue to pay tribute to one of Ghana’s most cherished football heroes, Association members paid a visit to Agogo’s family on Saturday to offer their condolences, prayers, and support.

Agogo is cherished for having played a crucial part in Ghana’s run to the semifinals of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which was held in Ghana. He passed away in London on August 22, 2019, following a battle with a stroke. He gained respect not only in Ghana but also throughout the African football community for his fervor, charm, and important goals.

The PFAG delegation reaffirmed their dedication to upholding Agogo’s legacy and helping his family during the observance. They underlined the importance of Ghanaian football players, both current and former, sticking together on and off the field.

Prior to joining the Ghanaian national team, where he made a lasting impression, Agogo played for a number of clubs in England, Scotland, Cyprus, and the United States. Young football players and supporters are still motivated by his memories because of his contagious smile and unwavering will.

The PFAG promised to uphold Junior Agogo’s legacy, as he continues to be a representation of commitment, tenacity, and patriotism in Ghanaian football.
