Uncle Ebo Whyte, a well-known playwright and motivational speaker from Ghana, has voiced serious concerns about the increasing dependence of government officials on prophecies rather than praying to God directly for direction.
Uncle Ebo Whyte said during a recent talk that it is concerning to see those in positions of power and political leaders continually looking to prophets for guidance while ignoring their own obligation to seek out divine insight directly.
He asserts that spiritual development, self-discipline, and a feeling of duty are necessary for leadership. He maintained that leaders who just rely on prophetic statements and do not practice personal prayer run the risk of making bad choices that could have an impact on millions of people.
“I can’t understand why government leaders can’t pray for themselves but prefer to run to prophets for every little thing. If you’re a leader, God expects you to take responsibility and hear from Him yourself. Prophets have their role, but they shouldn’t replace your personal relationship with God,” he said.
Uncle Ebo Whyte stressed that although he believes in the prophetic ministry, relying too much on prophesies leaves leaders vulnerable to deception and compromises their capacity to lead.
Calls For Arrest Of Prophets Who Saw The Helicopter Disaster Coming
Instead of portraying themselves as powerless in the absence of prophetic intervention, he further exhorted leaders to set an example for the country by cultivating a robust personal prayer practice.
His remarks contribute to the current national discussion over the function of religion and spirituality in politics, particularly in a nation where public endorsements and blessings are frequently obtained by political leaders through their associations with pastors and prophets for public blessings and endorsements.
