
As part of its effort to engage stakeholders and mobilize sponsorship, the 50th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards Planning Committee paid a courtesy call to Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, the CEO of Goldbod, prior to the grand awards ceremony that is set for Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Accra.
The delegation, which was co-led by SWAG President Mr. Kwabena Yeboah and Planning Committee Chairman Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah, paid a formal visit to introduce the 50th Anniversary Awards program to Goldbod’s CEO and look into possible areas of collaboration to make sure the prestigious event was successfully organized.
The group was cordially received by Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, who also commended SWAG for its continuous support of professional sports journalism in Ghana and the promotion of sports. He gave the Planning Committee his word that Goldbod would back projects that honor Ghanaian accomplishments, particularly in sports, which serve as a unifying factor for youth empowerment and national cohesion.

In order to make the Golden Jubilee edition of the SWAG Awards a remarkable success, the 50th SWAG Awards Planning Committee thanked Goldbod for its cordial reception and promised to continue working with the company and other corporate entities.
Members of the Planning Committee Mr. Charles Kwadwo Ntim and Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyeman were among the other members of the SWAG delegation.
The SWAG Awards, Ghana’s oldest national awards program, remain a venue for honoring athletic achievement and advancing the virtues of diligence, self-control, and patriotism among Ghana’s athletes and sports administrators.
