
The official pre-event launch of the Global Africa Summit (GAS) – Accra Edition came off on July 18, 2025, at The Palms by Eagles Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
The main summit will take place on December 11–12, 2025, in Accra, as part of a series hosted in four cities: Los Angeles (October 9–10, 2025), Washington, DC (October 14–15, 2025), Toronto (October 23, 2025), and Accra.
Organized by the Africa Investment Network under the theme “Global Partnerships – Fuelling Africa’s Development and Collective Prosperity,” the summit aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between Africa and its global diaspora to drive inclusive growth and amplify African leadership. The July 18 launch unveiled the summit’s vision, agenda, and partnerships.
Ghana’s Diaspora Affairs Director Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) delivered a compelling keynote address at the launch on behalf of the President of Ghana— who is a proud strategic partner of this landmark initiative.
Hosted by the Africa Investment Network, in partnership with AmCham Ghana and TopDog Africa Ltd., the Summit launch brought together global changemakers.

In his remarks, the Director highlighted: The pivotal role of the diaspora in shaping Africa’s economic renaissance. Ghana’s $6.4B+ diaspora remittance inflows in 2024 is a testament to diaspora-driven development:
- The inclusion of the upcoming programs into the Inter-Sectoral Implementation Committee (ISIC) roadmap as a model of diaspora action
- The implementation of the Diaspora Engagement Policy, and flagship programmes such as the National Diaspora Summit (Dec 2025)
- 24-hour Diaspora Hotline, Diaspora Citizenship Drives, and AI training project in partnership with the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana aligned with the One Million Coders Initiative of H.E. President Mahama
This follows his participation yesterday at the London to Accra Campaign alongside the Mayor of London, Rt. Hon. Sadiq Khan, reaffirming Ghana’s emergence as a hub for global cultural and economic renaissance powered by the diaspora.
