Unprecedented Growth: Disney World Sets Revenue Record

A record-breaking fiscal quarter (Q3 2025) was declared by Disney World despite the intense excitement surrounding Universal’s new Epic Universe theme park.

Theme parks, cruises, and resorts are all part of Disney’s Experiences segment, which generated $6.4 billion in revenue, a 10% increase over the previous year.

The increase was mostly driven by increased per-guest spending on food, shopping, and upscale experiences rather than just increased attendance.

Instead of harming Disney, Epic Universe appears to be boosting the travel industry in Central Florida by drawing more tourists who frequently include Disney sites in their vacation plans.

Highlights of the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT: New attractions like Test Track 3.0 and the Disney Starlight show also contributed to an increase in attendance and revenue.

Despite several itineraries being rerouted because of storms, Disney Cruise Line also made a significant contribution with robust summer reservations, particularly for Disney Treasure.

Disney’s hegemony has not been challenged by Epic Universe. Instead, Orlando’s expanded theme park ecosystem is drawing more tourists overall, and Disney’s strong brand keeps its parks packed and profitable.
