Richard Ahiagbah, Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has boldly declared that “the NPP has produced the most solid former Presidents in Ghana’s history.” He made this assertion on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Speaking with host Nana Yaw Kesse, Ahiagbah praised the leadership records of former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, emphasizing their enduring legacies in governance, economic reform, infrastructure, and democracy-building.
“Look at the legacy of President Kufuor — economic stabilization, NHIS, school feeding. Look at President Akufo-Addo — Free SHS, digitalization, roads, bold infrastructure. These are not just leaders. These are transformative leaders,” Ahiagbah noted.
He compared these records with what he described as “underwhelming and inconsistent leadership from the NDC”.
