The executor of the late controversial actor’s OJ Simpson estate, Malcolm LaVergne, said Kim Kardashian’s team contacted him last month after they revealed that some of O.J.’s personal belongings were up for auction.
Malcolm stated that the estate was forced to turn down Kim Kardashian’s team’s offer of $15K for the Bible since it was already bound by a contract and court order to be sold to pay off O.J.’s debt. The team then inquired about any other items that might have belonged to Robert.
According to Malcom LaVergne, he informed Kim’s team that he would be “out of his mind” to accept the offer because obtaining the required documentation to sell the Bible outside of the auction would cost him almost as much in legal expenses alone.
Additionally, he asserts that he was unable to sell it even if he wanted to because he did not want to run the danger of being sued by Goldin Auctions.

According to Malcolm, he eventually informed Kim’s side that they may place a bid in the auction, which started this week. Along with Alan Dershowitz, Johnnie Cochran, Robert Shapiro, and F. Lee Bailey, Robert was part of O.J.’s legal “Dream Team” during his 1994 trial for the killings of Goldman and his ex-wife.
After Simpson was acquitted, Robert and O.J.’s friendship strained. Robert reportedly told Barbara Walters that he had his reservations about Simpson’s innocence because of the DNA evidence used in the case.
