Luigi Maclean’s ‘1,000 Tongues Live Show’ was very well attended by patrons. The venue was the Cedar Mountain Church (CMC) International, Shiashie, Accra.
It was a spectacle to observe when Maclean made that big appearance to emit the best of executions, with loads of gratitude to God.
On seeing the hall heavily filled, the Gospel star took time off to say a word to the crowd.
“I’m overwhelmed for you showing up like this,” he remarked seeing the auditorium spilling over with attendees.
After covering some orthodox hymns and Ghanaian spirituals, and before he sang any number from his debut 9-track album, the crowd, willfully on their feet, joined the cherished performer sing his ‘Amazing God’ tune.
‘More Than A Song’, number 3 on Luigi’s ‘1,000 Tongues’ album, also followed up. This tune is about Jesus giving his life for his followers, “I don’t think you have a right to hold your life back from him”, he said.
Fellow staggering gospeler Kofi Preprah also jumped in front of an audience to perform the number 4 tune on the album, ‘Rejoice’ – a beautiful commendation piece.
After a series of riveting well known religious melodies, integrating a tune from the notable Tagoe Sisters, the Luigi Maclean sang the numbered 2 tune on his album, ‘Meyi W’aye’.
Siisi Baidoo was also essential for the celebration. He energized the crowd with Meda W’ase, which was the number 5 tune on the album.
When the mid-tempo Highlife tune called ‘Mile’, number 7, was announced, thereafter, the audience exclaimed!. As Luigi sang in his native Ga, they smiled, danced and captured the memory with their phones.
The follow-up was a Ga rendition of How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds, a hymn, his “JSS (Junior High School) teacher taught” him.
God brought me a father like Joe Mettle. I’ll forever be grateful. Help me celebrate my boss Joe Mettle,” Luigi said on stage, with his voice shaking with emotions, as he welcomed Mettle on stage.
Both sang the song that formerly introduced Luigi to the mainstream, ‘Bo No Ni’, and the crowd couldn’t resist but join in ecstasy. Joe Mettle also performed the title track for his 2022 Kadosh album.
