The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammy Awuku, has called on the government to be transparent with Ghanaians regarding the recommendations following the August helicopter crash.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Mr. Awuku stressed that after the full statement detailing the cause of the crash was made public, it was equally important for the government to disclose the recommendations made by investigators.
He noted that such transparency would not only help build public trust but also ensure that necessary safety reforms are implemented to prevent future tragedies.
“The public deserves to know what steps are being taken to avoid a recurrence of this unfortunate incident,” Awuku emphasized. He further urged the authorities to act swiftly on the findings and ensure accountability where needed.
