Shield Occupational Pension Scheme:

  • A Tier 2 Master Trust plan compliant with NPRA regulations
  • Requires employer contributions of 5% of gross salary, forming part of the mandatory 18.5% pension deduction.
  • Offers portability, allowing members to transfer accumulated benefits when moving jobs.
  • On retirement, participants can choose a lump sum or monthly payments. In the event of death, beneficiaries receive full benefits within 14 days of a valid claim.
  • Managed with support from GCB Bank Plc. (custody) and Republic Investment LTD & Cal Asset LTD (fund managers).

Shield Provident Fund Scheme:

  • A voluntary, tax-advantaged provident fund and master trust scheme offering up to 16.5% tax savings.
  • Contributions are made via payroll—either by the employer, the employee, or both—with flexibility for pre-tax or after-tax contributions.
  • Portability is allowed subject to vesting rules; voluntary after-tax contributions may be withdrawn at participant’s discretion.
  • Administrative support from CBG Bank PLC (custody) and managed by GCB CAPITAL LTD. and Republic Investments (Ghana) Ltd.

Shield “Cedi Kor A Day” Personal Pension Scheme:

  • A micro-savings plan encouraging daily contributions of just one cedi—a simple, regular way for individuals to build their retirement savings.
