Hajia Hamdatu And NDC Communicator Go Hard On Each Other On Live Radio. It Is The Big Issue!

From Left: Hajia Hamdatu, Ralph The Activist and Chris Dugan

Hajia Hamdatu, a prominent member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), got into a furious verbal altercation with a National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications officer Chris Dugan during a live discussion on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, on Angel FM’s Morning Show.

When the panel started discussing Ralph the Activist’s latest medical episode, which has sparked controversy in the political arena, the altercation broke out. The NDC communicator vehemently defended his party’s stance, claiming that the concerns expressed were valid and in the public interest, while Hajia Hamdatu denounced what she called the incident’s “insensitivity and political exploitation.”

Additionally, Hajia Hamdatu claimed that Ralph is acting with impunity since he is an NDC supporter. However, the NDC Communicator did not take well to that. He justified that since Ralph is a well-known activist, he has friends in both the NDC and the NPP. Therefore, just because someone witnesses Ralph the Activist having a convo with one of them does not mean that he is an NDC member.

Ama Daaku of the NPP, who was present in the studios, supported Hajia Hamdatu’s claim that, Ralph the Activist is an NDC member.

Both sides raised their voices and exchanged accusations as the argument swiftly became heated. Hajia Hamdatu once charged that the NDC spokesperson was “promoting propaganda rather than concentrating on the actual problems impacting healthcare delivery in Ghana.” The NDC representative retaliated, claiming that Hajia Hamdatu was trying to hide the government’s shortcomings under the guise of neutrality.

The altercation was characterized by listeners as one of the most heated discussions on the morning show in recent months. The debate threatened to go out of hand, so the presenter had to intervene periodically to keep things under control.

With differing interpretations from various sources, the Ralph the Activist hospital incident that set off the heated argument has gained public and political attention. Some contend it represents the larger issues facing Ghana’s health system, while others view it as a singular instance.

Smaller political parties, especially the CPP, were criticized by Chris, the NDC communicator, who left the studios but returned until the end of the show, as being “irrelevant in Ghana’s political landscape” and acting as “stooges” for the current administration. Hajia Hamdatu was offended by the comments and quickly responded by defending the legacy and role of her party to Ghana’s democracy.

Hajia Hamdatu maintained that the CPP is still the cornerstone of Ghana’s independence movement and has ideological significance despite its recent electoral performance, according to eyewitness accounts from the live event. She charged that the NDC only appeared during election years to disparage other parties, disregarding Ghana’s political past.
