Gomoa Central MP Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A-Plus, has lauded the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, describing him as an “amazing man” and “one of the best Speakers Ghana has ever had.”
Speaking on United Showbiz on Saturday, October 4, 2025, the outspoken Member of Parliament revealed that his experience in Parliament has been deeply shaped by the Speaker’s leadership and wisdom.
“Speaker Bagbin has changed me in so many ways in Parliament,” A-Plus stated. “He’s a man of great experience and humility. Even though I’m still the same vocal person, I’ve learned a lot from his calm and fair approach to issues.”
A-Plus, known for his fearless commentary on political and social matters, noted that Speaker Bagbin’s mentorship has helped him better understand parliamentary procedures and the value of diplomacy in national discourse.

He added that the Speaker’s sense of fairness and respect for all sides of the political divide has made Parliament a more balanced and productive institution.
“He listens to everyone, regardless of which side you’re on. That’s the mark of a true leader,” A-Plus emphasized.
Since assuming office as Speaker in 2021, Alban Bagbin has been widely commended for his steady leadership and efforts to maintain harmony in Ghana’s often divided Parliament.
