A Plus On Akufo-Addo, Hails Mahama’s Outstanding Leadership In Just 10 Months

Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng

Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has strongly criticized the administration of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, describing it as the worst government in Ghana’s history.

According to the Political activist and social commentator , the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government destroyed the nation’s economic and moral fabric to an extent that he cannot imagine any government performing worse.

Speaking on United Showbiz on Saturday, October 25, 2025, A Plus lamented that the Akufo-Addo era left Ghana in a state of disrepair, with poor governance, economic hardship, and widespread corruption defining his leadership.

“No government will ever be worse than Akufo-Addo’s. His era ruined Ghana to the core, and I honestly don’t know which government can perform worse than what the NPP did under his leadership,” A Plus asserted.

The outspoken musician and political activist further commended the current President, John Dramani Mahama, for what he described as “phenomenal achievements” within just ten months of returning to office.

“President Mahama has been very phenomenal in just ten months. No government can beat his achievements so far. He has shown leadership, focus, and a clear commitment to rebuilding Ghana,” he said.

A Plus emphasized that President Mahama’s vision and ongoing projects reflect a renewed sense of purpose and direction for the country, after what he termed years of mismanagement under the previous government.

He added that the President’s early successes have rekindled hope among many Ghanaians who had lost confidence in governance.

“President Mahama is poised to do more for Ghana so that when he leaves office, he will have a legacy that no successor can easily break. Looking at what he’s doing now, I wonder which government can beat his record even after he leaves,” A Plus noted.

Nana Akufo-Addo Calls For Good Governance And Accountability In Africa

The social commentator also called on Ghanaians to support the President’s agenda and hold him accountable through constructive criticism rather than partisan attacks. He argued that the country needs unity and focus to recover from the damage caused by past administrations.

As the conversation continues, many eyes remain on President Mahama’s administration to see whether it can indeed deliver on its promises and sustain the optimism it has generated within its first year in office.
