Dr. Randy Abbey, the chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has backed Kofi Adams, the minister of youth and sports, for his decision to make the national team’s budget public, claiming that the players are not upset about the move.

Mr. Adams’ announcement of the team’s budget prior to Ghana’s last World Cup qualifying matches caused a stir among football fans.

Some critics said that the players were distracted by the public revelation, which may have played a role in the Black Stars’ 1-1 draw with Chad.

In response, Dr. Abbey defended the Minister’s openness and called the criticism “essential.”

He emphasized that the players were unfazed by the situation and continued to be focused.

Dr. Abbey went on to say, “I do not see the big deal in the Minister’s decision.”

The Black Stars defeated Comoros 1-0 in Accra to guarantee their spot in their fifth FIFA World Cup.
